Last night, news broke that Bordeaux had lodged a bid for Rangers’ Colombian striker, Alfredo Morelos. However, a lot of the supporters laughed off the derisory bid for the 22-year-old and will be looking forward to seeing him bag tonight away at Maribor. The story came from The Evening Times and has done little to rattle the Gers, who are convinced Morelos will stay.

According to the report, the French club only bid a fee of £3.75 million and that in itself is enough to make plenty of Bluenoses chuckle. Morelos looks to have improved his game a lot in his short spell under Steven Gerrard and whilst playing in Ligue 1 might provide more opportunities for the youngster, it’s simply not worth giving up the opportunity and first-team spot he’s got at Ibrox just yet.
There’s no doubt that at some point the striker will be carted on for a big fee, but for now, the Colombian frontman will be keen to better himself in Glasgow before moving on to bigger things. It’s just a matter of time before the striker gets an international call-up too, having netted seven times in six games for Colombian’s U20s and if he can add a top class season with Rangers to that then it’s a matter of time before he’s lining up with James Rodriguez for the national team.

Just sold Malcolm for £35m. £15m of that will get you Alfredo thanks.

I'd be after almost double that at this point in the window Chris-regardless if both Solanke and Lafferty were to happen in the next two weeks.

I don't know why tims have such a hard time believing clubs actually want to buy morelos? Id be more worried that one of their players doesn't want to play and another is a mad gambler

They could buy celtics disco lights for that

The supporters are desperate not to sell Morelos unless a sizeable bid comes in for him and whilst that looks unlikely, they can sleep easily knowing that the frontman will be staying put at Ibrox.
