We at the Tavern have it on good authority that Bob wasn’t just furious, but mental, mental, chicken oriental when he found his motor had ended in the pound.
And he had to pay a fee to get it released the following day.
Last night, a police spokeswoman confirmed the incident. She said: “Following a routine stop, a male aged 46 is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal for an alleged motor traffic offence.”
“The vehicle was removed to an authorised yard in Bellshill.” A club insider said: “Robbie had an issue with his car tax a few weeks ago and the tax is paid. The DVLA sent the tax disc to his home in London but he didn’t get it as he is living up in Glasgow. He was able to prove he was all paid-up and the Range Rover was released from the pound.“
