A lot of Rangers fans on Twitter are delighted with their transfer business so far and now the club has announced new signing number eleven of the Steven Gerrard era, with NK Osijek full-back, Borna Barisic becoming a Ger. Barisic gave the club a glimpse of what he’s capable of when he played all 180 minutes against Rangers in the Europa League second-round playoff fixture.

You can read more of the ins and outs of the Barisic deal on the Rangers website, but the fans will be more interested in seeing how the 25-year-old full-back fares out on the pitch. Due to the fact Barisic played for Osijek against Rangers in Europa League qualifying, he will be unavailable for the club’s European qualifiers this season, but he will be eligible for Gerrard’s first home league fixture against St Mirren on Sunday.
Rangers didn’t quite get off to the start they wanted to in the Scottish Premier League season, however, Stevie G still did a good job. The Bluenoses travelled to Pittodrie on Sunday to face Aberdeen. Beating Aberdeen away from home is always a tough ask, however, it would have been easier had their new signing been playing. The dynamic full-back has the ability to impact the game at both ends of the pitch and it’s a steal from Gerrard to secure his signature ahead of a long domestic campaign.
