Celtic have been a mixed bag in recent weeks as they continue to struggle under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers, with a potential exit in the offing.
The Hoops have a very strong squad and would have definitely been seeking a third successive treble prior to the start of the current campaign, but things just haven’t gone to plan at all. And, the latest rumours surrounding Brendan Rodgers won’t offer any hope, as according to the Daily Star, Aston Villa are expected to move for Rodgers.
Brendan Rodgers will be seriously tempted to quit Celtic if Aston Villa make him their top target to succeed Steve Bruce.
Indeed, the former Liverpool boss is understood to feel he has taken the Scottish champions as far as he can under the current financial constraints the club are dealing with.
And, clubs in England believe the 45-year-old would quit Glasgow if the right opportunity arose, with the Midlands club expected to put that theory to the test.
Brendan Rodgers has been a key figure at the club for sometime now having helped them secure a number of trophies, but it looks as if his time at Parkhead may be coming to an end.
Indeed, the Northern Irishman could do with a fresh challenge back in England, with his overall dream to be working back in the top-flight of English football.
