Rangers will be desperate to challenge for the Scottish Premiership title in the current campaign after bringing in a number of players during the summer.
The Bluenoses just haven’t been able to reach their full potential so far this season, but they do still find themselves in the race for domestic and European honours.
Although, Steven Gerrard is still yet to get the best out of a couple of his first team members, with a lack of contributions and quality performances continuing halt his side’s progress. And, if the players don’t seek improvements in the near future then they could be on their way out in January.
So, these TWO Rangers players must start performing under Gerrard…
Daniel Candeias has been given the luxury of a regular starting place in the side recently, but he hasn’t necessarily put in the kind of performances that would warrant him keeping his place.
Indeed, the Portuguese wide-man managed to find the back of the net eight times in all competitions last season but he currently only has one goal to his name at this moment in time, so Gerrard will expect plenty more from him in weeks to come after witnessing some rather average performances.
Jon Flanagan has never really been able to nail down a permanent place in the side this season due to his rash decision-making and lack of consistency on the field.
The defender looks very uncomfortable in a slightly unusual position on the left-hand side of the defence as a right footed player, with Gerrard starting to lose his faith in the former Liverpool man.
So, the Englishman desperately needs to put in a couple of quality performances to put pressure on Andy Halliday in the left-back position, as he could face a January exit if things follow the same pattern.
