Celtic boost as talented midfielder hints he will be playing in green and white next year

The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern have been treated to an absolutely wonderful campaign, with the Bhoys having managed to secure six titles in a row.

Key to their success this season has been the form of midfielder Stuart Armstrong, who has emerged as quite the hero for the Hoops under Brendan Rodgers.

Having recently made his debut for the Scottish national side, the 24-year-old is fast becoming one of the hottest properties in Britain. Still, the fact the former Dundee United man is out of contract at the end of next season has worried the Bhoys in the bar.

In fact, James Corden even took to Twitter to reveal he wanted his beloved West Ham to sign him.

So, imagine the delight amongst those in green and white following Armstong’s comments to the Scottish Herald. A hugely popular figure in the Tavern, he indicated the notion of a new deal has been discussed and stressed that he’s happy plying his trade in Glasgow right now.

“We are looking at it,” said Armstrong.

“I am really happy here and playing some of the best football of my life. I’m in a really good place. I’m sure it will take care of itself.”

“Playing in the Champions League this season was a dream come true, playing against the giants of Europe.”
