The once noisy Celtic fans are very subdued in the Transfer Tavern today, and it’s hard to blame them, after they were downed on penalties by Rangers in the Old Firm derby on the weekend.
However news has broken through that may calm down the angry fans near the bar.
The Express has reported that Celtic boss Ronny Deila is under extreme pressure and could lose his job after the derby defeat to Rangers.
“That’s for the future. The only thought I have now is to get the league trophy to Celtic Park.”
With the Majority shareholder Dermot Desmond over seeing the Rangers match it may spell the end of an era for Deila.
Deila’s refusal to comment may be the final nail in the coffin as the Norwegian only has the league to contest for.
Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern feels it would be incredibly harsh if Celtic sacked Ronny Deila, and says the man has one of the toughest jobs in football, especially with the expectation that surrounds the Scottish club.
Celtic fans… should Deila be sacked? Or does he deserve one more season? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
