Celtic confident of landing experienced striker

Carlton ColeOver at the dartboard in The Football Transfer Tavern a few office staff from Sky Sports are discussing a transfer story close to completion.

From what I can make out, they have held an interview with Celtic manager Ronny Deila and he is confident that Carlton Cole will join the Scottish Premier League side.

The former West Ham striker has been on trial with Celtic for the past few weeks and has impressed the hierarchy at the club enough to have earned a contract.Deila is reported to have told Sky Sport:

“Carlton has been training one week and got a knock on Tuesday. We have to see what injury it is and how long it is going to be. We don’t think it is a big one. He will still train with us and we will see what is happening.”

“But we are still talking. The last game he played was in the end of May so whatever happens it is not a short term thing, like he will be fantastic for Celtic at once. He needs to build up his physique and that is what we are doing.”

Celtic punters failing to hit a one-hundred-and-eighty believe that the experienced forward is the perfect addition to their forward line and he will help them chase down current league leaders Aberdeen.

Celtic fans, are you optimistic that this transfer will be completed imminently? Let us know how you think Cole will do in the comments below!
