Celtic fans in the Tavern know they have secured the Scottish Premiership title with their huge win over arch-rivals Rangers and three points at Celtic Park at the weekend.
No one has come close to stopping Brendan Rodgers’ side as they march towards their eighth consecutive Scottish league crown.
Attention has already turned to the summer transfer window with the Hoops still disappointing on the European stage; reinforcements are needed. On-loan winger Patrick Roberts will return to Manchester City at the end of the season, leaving a huge gap to fill in the Celtic attack.
With that in mind, Rodgers should look to plug the hole with Stoke City winger – Ramadan Sobhi.
Valued at £5.2m by Transfermarkt, Sobhi has made 22 Premier League appearances this season scoring two goals. The Potters are on the verge of relegation, and the Egyptian winger is keen to leave the club. He is surely hoping a good performance at the upcoming World Cup with his country will secure him a move away from the Bet 365 stadium.
While Sobhi is nowhere near the heights of his international team-mate Mohamed Salah, he has all the right attributes to follow in his footsteps and shine on the world stage.
At just 21-years-old, the forward could thrive under Rodgers who has demonstrated his ability to bring the best out of young players – the Northern Irishman was crucial in the development of Raheem Sterling at Liverpool.
Sobhi can be a great player in Scotland and has a considerable following which would bring more eyes to the SPL; he boasts over 1.3m followers on Twitter.
Likely to be available for a reasonable price, Celtic should go all out to secure his services.
Celtic fans, would Ramadan Sobhi be a good replacement for Patrick Roberts? Let us know!
