Celtic eyeing move for Manchester United striker

James WilsonSome of the Transfer Tavern’s Scottish punters were in fine voice over the weekend over some potentially exciting news for Celtic supporters.

The were gathered around an an article on the Scotsman website which claims that Manchester United striker James Wilson could be set to join the Scottish giants on loan in January.

Wilson was used a second half substitute in Sunday’s 3-0 reverse at the hands of Arsenal, but his playing time has been severely restricted this season which could lead to a temporary spell away from the club.

The 19-year-old is a product of the academy at United and is tipped for big things in the professional game. A loan spell would undoubtedly aid his progression though.

One punter tucking into a rump steak, believes that United are missing a trick loaning the starlet out and thinks the youngster should be providing back up from Frenchman Anthony Martial, rather than heading north to Scotland.

Celtic fans… Would you welcome Wilson? Is he an improvement on your current crop of strikers?
