Celtic are looking to put a turbulent week past them heading into their all-important Champions League clash against AEK Athens tonight after recently losing 1-0 to Hearts in the SPL at Tynecastle.
As well as their defeat to Hearts, Celtic have had problems off the pitch with central defender Dedryck Boyata kicking up a storm in regards to his future.
The Belgium international is desperate to leave Celtic Park and has seen a £9m offer from Fulham for his services turned down (via talkSPORT).
Boyata’s future, however, will be the last thing on the minds of Celtic supporters with their focus firmly on their club’s match against AEK Athens later, which could prove to be a tricky encounter for the SPL side.
Celtic struggled to break AEK Athens down in the 1-1 draw in the first leg at Celtic Park, and round two at Athens Olympic Stadium may present an even more difficult task for Brendan Rodgers’ men.
The Bhoys could be without £2.25m-rated (via Transfermarkt) striker Odsonne Edouard — in what would be a huge blow — with the Daily Record reporting the Frenchman sat out of Celtic’s last training session.
Have a look at what Celtic supporters are saying on Edouard below…
Ok………….maybe not been the best few days Celtic have had?!
