Celtic will be aiming to win the Scottish Cup for a back-to-back Treble this season and fans in the Transfer Tavern will have been boosted with the news of one star player.
Brendan Rodgers’ side will be comfortable favourites to beat Motherwell when the two sides meet at Hampden Park and their odds would have been made shorter as Craig Gordon was spotted back in training.
The Daily Record snapped photos of the Scotland international training alongside Scott Bain, who has been in fine form, with both in contention of the starting position. Gordon had been a mainstay in the team until January when he was forced out with a knee injury against Hibernian.
The goalkeeper has returned to the side and is thought to be preferred for the big game due to his experience in major finals, something Bain will likely have the opportunity to learn at another final.
The Celtic fans in the Tavern and Rodgers will both be delighted that their number one is fit and should be available for the clash with Motherwell.
The 35-year-old has been crucial to the Bhoys in their efforts to be in a position to capture a back-to-back Treble and although there will be doubts about his fitness, he will most likely be in between the sticks for the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park.
