Celtic will be looking to overcome Motherwell in the Scottish Cup on May 19 to record a successive back-to-back Treble, however, fans in the Transfer Tavern will be concerned with the news about one of their main men.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Odsonne Edouard could miss the final after he had to limp out of last weekend’s victory against Heart of Midlothian with a possible hamstring injury.
“It looked like a hamstring so we’ll need to assess it. It would be a real shame if he was ruled out. He’s been brilliant for us as he’s developed and improved,” Brendan Rodgers told the media outlet.
The 20-year-old has emerged as a star for the Hoops this season, having joined on loan from Paris Saint-Germain and it is believed the club have opened up talks about a possible £8million deal to make his switch permanent.
Edouard has proven crucial to the Bhoys at stages of the season and has particularly enjoyed playing against Old Firm rivals Rangers, having scored twice in their recent Scottish Premiership clash, making him a firm favourite with the locals already.
The Celtic fans in the Tavern will be disappointed that Edouard could be unavailable for the Cup final with Motherwell, although they will be pleased that the club have already started talks about making him a permanent Bhoy in the future.
