Celtic man eyed in England despite outlining intentions

Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking ahead to next season, however, they may not be able to see one of their newest signings in action for a while.

The Hoops signed Lewis Morgan from St Mirren in January, however, they sent him back to the club on a loan deal as they managed to win promotion back to the Scottish Premiership. Jack Ross was the man in charge and it is believed he wants to reunite with his former player once again.

According to reports in the Scottish Sun, the new Sunderland boss wants to bring the 21-year-old to the Stadium of Light on a season-long loan deal, despite the player outlining his intentions to fight for his place in the Celtic team.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Celtic fans in the Tavern will have been delighted with what the winger was able to produce for St. Mirren during their title-winning campaign and a number of them would not be disappointed to see him go on another loan deal.

A move could be good for the newly-capped Scotland international, who would be certain to get a large amount of game time under his former manager, however, Morgan’s intentions to break into the Celtic side could impress Brendan Rodgers and see him remain at Celtic Park.
