Celtic prepare to face tough summer as Premier League interest grows

Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking forward to the upcoming the season and will hope the club makes some additions this summer.

Brendan Rodgers will want to ensure that his side remains the kings of Scottish football and having watched what Steven Gerrard has already achieved with Old Firm rivals Rangers, he will be determined to remain at the top.

However, he could have a battle on his hands as he looks to try and keep one of his talented star players, according to reports in the Daily Mirror. The media outlet are claiming that the likes of Everton are considering to make a move for Kieran Tierney.

The Toffees are not the only side to have shown an interest in the Scotland international, with the likes of Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth being credited previously with a possible move.

The left-back has been impressive for the Bhoys and has only just signed a new long-term six-year deal to remain at Celtic Park, which many of the locals in the bar will be hoping he commits too.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Celtic fans in the Tavern will want the club to do everything they can to keep Tierney at Celtic Park for as long as possible. The 21-year-old has become a fan favourite since breaking into the first-team and will feel confident that he will commit to the deal he has recently signed.
