Celtic reject offer for Olivier Ntcham

Celtic are thought to be battling hard this summer to keep one of their players at Parkhead this summer.

According to a report by Goal in France, the Bhoys are thought to have turned down an offer from Porto for Olivier Ntcham.

It has been claimed that the bid made from the Portuguese champions made a bid of around €15million.

However, Brendan Rodgers is keen to keep his rising star at Celtic Park after an impressive campaign last season, which he has already managed to carry through to this year’s efforts.

Keeping hold of the 22-year-old could be difficult for the Hoops though, with discussions thought to take place between Ntcham’s representatives and the Scottish Premiership champions.

The Frenchman is believed to be open to the idea of making a move to Portugal to join Porto and Celtic will be hoping the can convince him to stay with them.

The Verdict:

If Ntcham was to depart from Celtic this summer, it would be a huge blow to Rodgers side.

The former Manchester City product has shown with his performances over the past year or so and has become an important member of the squad.

However, the Bhoys could find it difficult to keep hold of the 22-year-old this summer, especially after they were sent crashing out of the Champions League earlier this week against AEK Athens.
