Celtic reject three offers for Dedryck Boyata

Celtic will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing 1-0 defeat to Heart of Midlothian and will be keen to keep one man at Parkhead who can help them to improve.

The Bhoys saw themselves fall behind Old Firm rivals Rangers following their 2-0 win and Brendan Rodgers will be looking for his side to make sure that it is just a small blip.

They were without Dedryck Boyata for the game and according to reports, it appears they have a large battle on their hands to keep him in Scotland.

The Daily Mail are reporting that the defender’s agent has stated that three European clubs have already had offers turned down. Fulham were credited with an offer before the transfer deadline in England, however, that was knocked back.

However, it appears that Olympiakos and Fenerbache have also been claimed as the two other sides to make offers that have been rejected by the Hoops this summer.

The Verdict:

It is no surprise that Boyata has been receiving plenty of offers this summer and Celtic will need to do all they can to keep him.

The Belgium international has starred for the Hoops since he joined them in 2015 and further raised his profile during the World Cup.

Celtic appear to look firm with their desire to keep the 27-year-old in Scotland, however, time will tell if they can do enough to convince him to remain or risk losing him.
