Celtic look firmly on course to land the Scottish Premier League title once again and have made a decent start to life in the Champions League, despite a hammering by PSG in the opening game weekend.
Under Brendan Rodgers, the club have become a consistent force in Scotland and have been playing some excellent stuff under the former Liverpool manager, going the entire season last year unbeaten.
Our landlord here in the Tavern loves having the Celtic faithful at the bar, and he thinks that they deserve some more quality players in their squad to keep the Bhoys successful and keep guiding the club towards success in the future.
One player the landlord thinks could make an excellent signing for the Hoops is current Preston striker Jordan Hugill, who has been of interest to plenty of Championship clubs, including Wolves.
However, with reports emerging in the printed newspapers today that Hugill could be available in January, Celtic could be the ideal destination for the player to further his career and get back among the goals on a regular basis.
Hugill appears to be capable of playing at a higher level, and the chance to play with Celtic could be something he would find hard to turn down. He had a superb season last time out and if Celtic and Rodgers can gather the funds to tempt Preston to sell, then he could make an excellent signing.
Celtic fans, what do you think to Hugill? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
