Punters in the Football Transfer Tavern are eagerly anticipating this forward’s next move as he looks to leave Celtic Park in the summer.
According to the Herald Scotland, Nadir Ciftci wants to leave Celtic this summer and make his move to Eskisehirspor permanent after joining them on loan in February.
The 24-year-old seems to have a new lease of life since joining the Super Lig outfit and he is now making a last ditch attempt to make the Turkish international side for the Euros in France.
The former Portsmouth man had a difficult start to life in the Scottish Premier League after he only scored four goals in his first six months under Ronny Deila, after arriving from Dundee United.
And it didn’t start too smoothly for the forward in Turkey either, who picked up a three-game ban and £6,000 fine for verbally abusing the ref, after he was sent off in his second game for Eskisehirspor.
But despite this fiery start, the forward has impressed fans after scoring three goals in 9 appearances.
Our resident Celtic fans must admit they aren’t too bothered about this news, and would rather Ciftci left the club if he doesn’t want to play for them.
Our landlord has to agree with the Bhoys faithful, and admits it just seems beneficial to all parties involved if the striker departs Celtic Park.
