Celtic head to Austria to face Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday night as they look to make two wins from two in the Europa League.
The Scottish Premiership champions started their European campaign with a victory against Rosenborg and Brendan Rodgers will be keen to see his side pick up another three points.
The Austrians won their opening game as well, defeating Red Bull Leipzig in Germany and the Hoops will know they will be in for a tough test, especially given Celtic’s away form.
The Bhoys have a poor record when playing away from Celtic Park this season, having won just three of their nine games so far, whilst their record in European competition is not one to boast about.
The likes of Tom Rogic, Kristoffer Ajer, Filip Benkovic and Nir Bitton are all thought to be unavailable for the Bhoys.
However, they will be pleased to have Odsonne Edouard available for selection as he has overcome a dead leg suffered during their win over Aberdeen at the weekend.
Celtic will know that they are facing one of Europe’s better teams when they meet Salzburg on Thursday night.
The Austrian outfit reached the competition’s semi-finals last season and managed to overcome the tough challenge of Leipzig in their last Europa League encounter.
The Bhoys will miss the quartet that are unavailable, especially given their defence concerns, however, Rodgers will have been buoyed by the news that Edouard is available.
