Celtic would be wise to swoop on Sheffield United to sign this former Rangers star

Celtic have been on fire once again this season in the SPL, going unbeaten and continuing their stunning record under Brendan Rodgers as the former Liverpool manager seeks another treble.

The Bhoys are now by far and away the top dogs in Scotland, and here in the Tavern, the Celtic fans have been making plenty of noise for a number of seasons now, with that continuing this term too.

Our landlord loves welcoming the Celtic lot into the bar, and this week he’s been having a few beers with the Hoops fans and discussing potential new signings. While it might be big names that Celtic sometimes crave, one man who our landlord thinks they should pursue is current Sheffield United midfielder John Fleck.

The former Coventry City and Rangers man has come into his own since joining the Blades, and has become the focal point in a United side who are taking the Championship by storm.

Fleck is a class act, and is more than capable of playing at a higher level. Despite his Rangers background, he could well see the challenge of playing back in his homeland with a club the size of Celtic something that is too good to resist.

The Blades will almost certainly not want to lose their man man, but money can sometimes talk in football, and if Celtic offered the big bucks and the promise of European football, then Fleck could well be tempted to make the move.

Celtic fans, what do you think of Fleck? Good enough for you? Let us know your thoughts!
