The Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern are seriously excited about a return to the Champions League and hope Brendan Rodgers can bring in some new faces before the deadline.
Indeed, while life under Rodgers in domestic competition has been nothing short of amazing, the Bhoys in our bar believe some astute additions would help them on their European adventure.
Still, reports from the Scottish Sun have not proved welcome at all today.
They claim Premier League strugglers West Ham United are eyeing a move for Parkhead star Anthony Ralston after his strong performances breaking into the first-team.
The 18-year-old progressed through the academy with the Hoops and is seen as the future by many of our punters clad in green and white, though is thought to have attracted scouts from south of the border.
With Kieran Tierney proving such a popular figure, Ralston on the other side of the defence is a romantic notion for our resident Hoops, as they look to build for the long-term under Rodgers.
Ralston seems destined for big things, though he shouldn’t leave Celtic so early. Able to win trophies and play Champions League football, the talented teen should give it a while before he departs for the Premier League, where he seems like ending up.
