Reports from North of the border are making their way into the Football Transfer Tavern, that Brendan Rodgers is edging closer to confirming his first deal as Celtic boss.
Dembele, formerly of Paris Saint-Germain’s academy, is set to replace Stefan Scepovic who has been sold to Getafe after spending the last year on loan at the Spanish club.
The Frenchman scored 17 goals for Fulham last season to help them beat the drop in the Championship, and our Landlord reckons that the youngster is more than capable to make the step up to Celtic next season.
The striker’s contract is up this summer as he refused to sign a contract in order to engineer a move away from Craven Cottage, and although Fulham will miss out significantly in terms of a transfer fee the London club will stil be due some compensation.
