Celtic are set to face a huge challenge this summer to keep a number of their players at Celtic Park, and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping they can do as much as they can to persuade them to stay.
A number of the Bhoys’ stars have been attracting interest from a host of teams across Europe, and manager Brendan Rodgers will be desperate to keep them all at Paradise as they continue to build upon their dominance of the Scottish Premiership.
One man that the manager will have no choice on whether he departs or remains is Patrick Roberts, with the Manchester City loanee wanted by a host of Premier League sides that are willing to pay £15 million for his services, as per The Daily Express.
Celtic could find it difficult to match the reportedly-interest duo of Leicester City and West Ham United, and would likely have to sell a key player to be able to bring the England Under-21 back to Parkhead this summer.
Landlord’s Verdict: Roberts has impressed during his two-year loan spell with the Hoops, and it is no secret that Rodgers would like to keep him – however, they could find it difficult to convince the 21-year-old to remain in Scotland.
The winger has developed immensely under the guidance of the Northern Irishman – however, he may be wanting to try and test himself against England’s elite, including his current club as he will look to try and break into the national set-up.
