The Celtic fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that the club are no nearer to selling one of their players this summer.
According to reports in The Daily Record the Scottish champions are looking for an offer of £10m for midfielder Nir Bitton.
The Israeli midfielder is a wanted man this summer with Espanyol reportedly bidding £6m to try and secure his services this summer, but the Scottish champions are holding out for more.
He is one of the Parkhead side’s top assets and only penned a new five year deal last year so the club are under no pressure to sell.
Sunderland were thought to be interested in taking the midfielder in January and were told that it would take an offer of £10m to land him and it is reported that the Periquitos have been told the same.
The 24-year old joined the Hoops in 2013 for £700,000 and has gone on to make 74 appearances for the side scoring eight goals during his time at the club.
Celtic fans, is Bitton worth £10m?
