The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern haven’t had much to moan about over the last few months, following a truly wonderful campaign under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers.
Having gone unbeaten across domestic competition all season – winning a treble on the way – the Bhoys in the bar have been absolutely delighted about the complexion of their campaign. So, with that in mind, reports from the Daily Record haven’t gone down all that well today.
They claim Serie A giants AC Milan have requested a second meeting with Moussa Dembele’s representatives over a potential summer move. Having moved to Glasgow on a free – other than compensation – last summer, the 21-year-old marksman became a popular figure for the green and white cause.
He bagged over 30 goals in all competitions this term and notched a hat-trick over bitter rivals Rangers in his first Old Firm meeting, much to the delight of our resident Hoops. So, the idea of losing him this summer is really a rather scary one indeed.
While the club are reportedly adamant they will not sell, the Rossoneri are understood to have already met the forward’s camp. They’re said to have held informal discussions last month, though are beleived to be eager to arrange a second meeting as they pursue a potential deal.
With the Celtic fans in the bar desperate to see the club compete in at least the last-16 of the Champions League, they hope the Italian titans can be held off.
