After such a wonderful season last term, the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are praying Brendan Rodgers finds a way to improve the squad ahead of next term.
With the Hoops entirely dominant in Scotland last term, the Bhoys in the bar are hoping Rodgers can whip the squad into shape for a better go of things in the Champions League this time around. So, while reports from France don’t hint at a new signing, they have been met with applause.
According to RMC Sport, the Scottish champions are in talks with Kolo Toure over a new deal at Parkhead, with the vastly experienced Ivorian currently a free agent. The former Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City man proved a popular figure in green and white last season, winning every domestic title available to him.
This is pretty good news for the Celtic fans in the Tavern, who are delighted about the idea of seeing Toure stick around the club for a while. Having won so much during his career, it can only be a good thing.
