Celtic’s amazing run of form this season has been made all the more sweet, for our punters at least, in stark contrast to the ongoing issues at Ibrox, with the Rangers fans drowning their sorrows.
The Hoops have quashed all before them domestically and our Bhoys in the bar really do believe they are on for a wonderful treble to mark Brendan Rodgers’ first season in charge at Parkhead. While those in green and white look rather imperious up and down the pitch, the form of Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths in attack has been the biggest thing to shout about.
With that in mind, it seems Nadir Ciftci will finally leave Paradise in the next few days. Having failed to show the sort of form that convinced Ronny Deila to sign him from Dundee United back in January 2015, the Turkish forward looks like a man without a future at the club.
So, reports from the Scottish Sun have barely caused surprise amongst our drinkers. They claim the 24-year-old is set to leave Glasgow on loan for Poland, reportedly to join Pogon Szczecin. Considering his standing in the squad, it’s not exactly the hardest news to take for those in the Tavern.
