As quoted by The Glasgow Evening Times, Cristian Gamboa has revealed what life is like at Celtic, with our resident Hoops fans here in the Transfer Tavern, liking what he had to say a lot.
The defender joined the Celtic Park outfit in the summer from the Baggies and has been in and out of the first team so far under Brendan Rodgers as the club look set to stroll to a sixth SPL title in a row.
In Europe, things have been a little more difficult with Gamboa part of the side that lost 7-0 at the Nou Camp to Barcelona but nevertheless the South American says he is feeling good north of the border. He said: “I feel good here with my team-mates and everyone has tried to help me feel settled here along with my family. It’s good to be at Celtic.”
The man from Costa Rica is known for being a real speed merchant and has also said that he feels ready for more first-team action in the coming weeks now he knows how the club play.
“I know how we play now and the gaffer has helped build my performance and how we play at Celtic, and I showed a bit of that against Borussia [Monchengladbach]”, said the defender.
”I showed that I could play on a good stage and in a good game and these are the matches you want to be involved in. The gaffer gave me a chance so I tried to prove myself and everything went well, and I hope to progress in a good way.”
Celtic travel to Kilmarnock on Friday as they look to build their lead at the top of the Scottish top flight.
