It’s going to be a big summer for the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern, who will surely struggle to enjoy a campaign as much as this one.
The Bhoys in the bar were delighted to see their side go unbeaten in domestic competition and are just one game away from sealing a historic treble.
Their meeting with Aberdeen at Hampden Park in the Scottish Cup final is a hotly anticipated one amongst our resident Hoops, so comments from a Celtic player in the Evening Express have taken on extra interest.
Forward Ryan Christie, who joined the Dons on loan in January, has refused to rule out the possibility of him extending his loan stint at Pittodrie next season.
The 22-year-old has proved pivotal to the Dons’ cause since joining and, while he won’t be elligible for the end of season showpiece, may extend his stay in the Granite City.
“I am not going to rule it out, that’s for sure because I have enjoyed my time at Aberdeen so much”, he said when asked about the notion of returning.
“If that is what it comes to, then it is definitely an option I will keep open.
“Right now in my head it is all about doing as well as I can in pre-season then we will take it from there.”
Though obviously a talented player, the strong competition for places at Celtic means the Bhoys in the bar wouldn’t be too bothered seeing him leave.
