Celtic were rocked away from home last time out as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
The Hoops were looking promising up until last weekend’s result, but they now need to go back to the drawing board with plenty of improvements needed. Indeed, the Glasgow side have their sights set on both European and domestic glory, but this won’t be achieved if they keep on slipping up under Brendan Rodgers.
One struggle for Celtic has been getting the best out of a player that signed for the club in the Rodgers era, Jonny Hayes.
Indeed, the winger has been one of the worst pieces of transfer business that the Hoops have ever completed as he continues to disappoint at Parkhead. The 31-year-old has played just three games this season, with one assist to his name, in what is turning out to be another calamitous season.
With that in mind, the Hoops should think about upgrading by bringing in this star…
The winger, who is valued at £10.8 million (by Transfermarkt), hasn’t been able to force his way into Marco Silva’s Everton side on a regular basis this season after being rejected a move away during the summer transfer window.
Indeed, the youngster is one of the hottest prospects in English football and his quality shone through during his loan spell at German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig last season.
So, the Hoops should look to provide him with regular football in Glasgow by making a move for him in January, with Jonny Hayes offering very little pace and a lack of potency in front of goal.
