Celtic pushing hard to land Liverpool cult-hero for Rodgers revolution

A new era at Celtic has begun, a new characterful era, under the guise of former Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers. Celtic fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the new season but also have a keen eye on who the new boss will be bringing in, and it looks as if he has turned his sights on Anfield.

With Fulham’s Moussa Dembele already through the door, reports in the Daily Record are suggesting that there is a deal for former Liverpool centre half, Kolo Toure, in the pipeline.

The former Arsenal man is said to be considering his options after being released from Anfield this summer, but according to the Metro, is yet to be convinced by his former manager that a move North of the border would be beneficial.

The former Swansea manager signed the 35-year-old for Liverpool from Man City in 2013, and he went on to make 46 appearances for the Reds.

Celtic fans, we want to hear from you! Could Toure do a job for your club next season? Being on a free would this be good business? Let us know below…
