Celtic ready to offer 27-year-old summer move with big contract

Still unbeaten domestically, the Celtic fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern have been dancing in delirious delight for most of the season so far.

The Hoops look a completely different side under Brendan Rodgers and life under the former Liverpool coach really is proving promising as the Bhoys in the bar dream of a long-term project with him at the helm.

Which is exactly why reports from Turkish outlet Fotomac over the course of the weekend only furthered their excitement.

They’ve revealed the Scottish champions have tabled an offer to Fenerbache defender Hasan Ali Kaldirim over the notion of a move to Glasgow in the summer.

The 27-year-old is understood to have been offered a £1.6m-a-year deal until 2020 by the SPFL champions as they try and tempt him with an exit route from Istanbul.

He will also reportedly be offered a £1m signing on fee by the Hoops as they look to bolster their options at left-back, perhaps as an experienced backup to the promising Kieran Tierney.

The Turkish international has 16 caps for his country and is also able to operate in central midfield, making this a potentially exciting arrival for our local Celtic fans.
