The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern really aren’t used to bad news these days, following such a wonderful campaign for Brendan Rodgers at Parkhead.
Indeed, the green and white cause did not suffer a single defeat in domestic competition last season on their way to a historic treble, much to the delight of the Bhoys in the bar.
So, reports from the Daily Record have only added to the sense of celebration popping off amongst our resident Hoops.
They claim Scotland star Stuart Armstrong is ready for fresh talks over extending his deal in Glasgow now the season has ended. Indeed, the 25-year-old has been one of the club’s biggest success stories of late, finding a new lease of life under the former Liverpool coach.
Despite having struggled to wholly convince our punters under Ronny Deila, the former Dundee United man has emerged as one of the popular Bhoys amongst our drinkers.
”That was something we had talked about and had decided to leave until the season was finished and then we would pick things up again from there”, said the midfielder.
“I’m sure we will take care of that soon.
“You can never put a time limit on these things, but they normally take care of themselves.”
With the Celtic fans in the bar eager to see the club improve in the Champions League next term, they’re desperate to keep Armstrong in Glasgow.
