Celtic set for transfer tussle though boss fears attraction could be too much

After such a wonderful campaign, the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern really aren’t used to losing, having won every single domestic game under Brendan Rodgers.

So, even reports from the Daily Record hinting at a potential transfer tussle don’t scare the Bhoys in the bar.

Indeed, the Hoops and Cardiff City are reportedly set to battle for the services of Aberdeen forward Jonny Hayes this summer. Celtic have recently been touted as a potential destination for the 29-year-old, though the Bluebirds made quite a few bids for him in January.

Now, Neil Warnock is said to have returned to the race to land the Irishman, though does reportedly fear the lure of Parkhead could be too much for Hayes.

Whether or not the Dons star will be able to make too much of an impact on Celtic’s first-team is up for debate, though those clad in green and white propping up our bar believe he’d be a wonderful squad option over the course of the campaign.
