The Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really rather happy with the nature of life at the moment. On home soil at least. Indeed, while many of our punters clad in green and white are still getting over the 7-1 loss to PSG last week, the League Cup final win over Motherwell did help.
Though their experience at the Parc des Princes will live long in the Bhoys’ collective memory, the manner in which they wrapped up a fourth domestic trophy in a row has delighted our resident Hoops. Also, the fact Brendan Rodgers is still in with a shout of delivering European football after Christmas, as they battle Anderlecht for third spot in the Champions League group.
With that in mind, suggestions that Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke should look to leave Anfield on loan in January have proven really rather interesting. The England international was linked with a move to Celtic Park over the course of the summer and would certainly strengthen any assault they may have on the Europa League, should they get there.
So, while the likes of Leigh Griffiths and Moussa Dembele give the Bhoys a strong partnership up front, should Rodgers move for Solanke on loan in January?
