Celtic should take a punt on £1.3m-rated young English forward to help keep a hold of the title

The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Brendan Rodgers still delves into the transfer market for some quality additions even if his side have just won back-to-back trebles.

Celtic have again been no match for anyone domestically but their wait for European progression continues as they were embarrassed in both Champions League and Europa League ties this season. That has to change and although this player may not be ready quite yet, Jerome Sinclair of Watford could have a big future with a move to Celtic Park.

Valued at £1.3 million on Transfermarkt, the 21-year-old has struggled for any sort of game time since moving to Watford because this season he has only managed 29 minutes of Premier League football. For a promising forward that simply isn’t good enough and the form he showed at Liverpool when playing for the U21’s was terrific and he will be hoping to recapture that form should he move to a team like Celtic.

The Hoops already have an array of attacking options but none quite like Jerome Sinclair. The big, physical striker has a lot of pace to get past defenders as well as then having the ability to fire a shot past the goalkeeper. He hasn’t been given a real opportunity at the Hornets so this summer our punters feel it’s the right time for him to move clubs again. Celtic will be grateful to receive any talented players in their bid to become even better next season and should Sinclair find his best form, he could be an influential player next season.
