Celtic would consider permanent summer deal pending the right kind of offer – Report

Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern will look for the club to make a number of changes this summer as they look to go for a third domestic Treble in a row and continue their dominance of Scottish football.

The Bhoys will need to make a couple of additions this summer if they are to continue with their aims, however, Brendan Rodgers could also be prepared to offload the deadwood he has in his squad as he looks to free up potential funds.

According to a report in the Scottish Sun, Eboue Kouassi could be a possible man to depart from Celtic Park this summer, having failed to make an impact since his switch 18 months ago. The midfielder joined in January 2017 for £3million from Russian outfit FC Krasnodar but has been limited to just nine starts.

It is thought a loan move is the most likely option for the Ivory Coast international, with a number of suitors thought to be ready to show their interest from across Europe, however, the midfielder has kept the door open on a possible permanent switch.

Landlord’s Verdict

The 20-year-old is desperate to play regularly and will find it difficult to break into the first-team at Celtic Park, especially with how Scott Brown is currently playing in the middle of the park. A loan switch could be a viable option, however, with Kouassi open to a permanent departure from the Scottish Champions could suggest he does not see his future in Glasgow and wants to revive his career elsewhere.
