Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern are dancing around in celebration with reports from Glasgow Live claiming that Moussa Dembele has rejected an offer to join Chelsea this summer.
The Frenchman was the subject of links with the Premier League leaders during January, but a switch failed to come to fruition and he remains in Scotland.
And now Glasgow Live have claimed that Chelsea have once again been on the prowl, offering Dembele a contract worth £65,000-per-week, rising to £100,000-per-week, to relocate to London.
However, the 20-year-old is understood to have rejected the proposal as he would not be guaranteed first-team football at Stamford Bridge.
Glasgow Live claim that a Chelsea delegation requested a meeting with Dembele’s representatives, at which point they made the offer.
The former Fulham man is likely to be the subject of more interest this summer, so him staying at Celtic for 2017/18 is by no means a guarantee at this stage.
