With the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern pleased with a decent start to the campaign, they’re hoping for some more good news over the coming hours and days.
Indeed, with Brendan Rodgers taking his Parkhead project into the next phase this season, reports from the Scottish Sun hint at a relatively anxious wait over an injury already.
The Bhoys in the bar are awaiting news in regards to Kouassi Eboue’s ailment. Heading into his first full campaign as a Hoops star, the January 2017 summer signing was carried off during their 5-0 rout away at Kilmarnock in the League Cup.
The 19-year-old joins the likes of Dedryck Boyata in the treatment room, so our punters clad in green and white are hoping he can brush off his problem, though the club are said to be waiting on a scan to determine the extent of it.
Touted for big things by the Celtic fans who frequent in their droves, they’re desperate to see him in full flow, so hope he’s back in action quickly.
“Eboue is being assessed”, said Hoops coach John Kennedy.
“He is still to have a scan, but hopefully we’ll have an idea over the weekend.
“We were worried at first when he came off injured, but he is in a slightly better place, so medically it is looking a bit more positive.
“We just need to wait for the specialist to get the scan results.”
