There’s the small matter of the Old Firm in just a few hours and the Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern simply cannot wait.
Indeed, the Bhoys in our bar are hugely confident about a win at Ibrox this lunchtime and wholly expect Brendan Rodgers to continue steamrolling Rangers, ahead of their trip to Belgium in the Champions League early next week.
So, it’s going to be a busy few days for the Hoops.
Which is why this deal may have gone under the radar. Celtic have confirmed that young defender Jamie McCart has joined St Mirren on an emergency loan deal until December 23. The 20-year-old spent time on loan with Inverness Caledonian Thistle last season and has now moved up to Paisley as they attempt to put a run together in the Championship.

Though he’s no Kieran Tierney, our punters clad in green and white hope a move to the Buddies helps McCart develop further, believing they could do with another defender to call on soon.
