It’s been a busy day for Celtic and their fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern as they celebrate Brendan Rodgers’ signing of a new deal.
While the Bhoys have proved oh so impressive this season, it’s clear the Rodgers rebuild will continue over the next few years, as the Scottish champions look to make strides in Europe.
With that in mind, few of the Bhoys in the bar have been surprised to read reports from the Daily Record. They claim Hoops star Emilio Izaggurie has been offered a route out of Paradise by Costa Rican outfit Deportiva Alajuelense.
The 30-year-old is out of contract this summer and has largely operated as a second fiddle behind Kieran Tierney, despite all the success he’s enjoyed in Glasgow.
Having joined the club in 2010, the Honduran has won all there is to win domestically in Scotland, though could be approaching the last few weeks of his time there.
If he is to leave, there won’t be a dry eye in the Tavern.
