Though it’s not been the busiest January for the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern thus far, the stunning nature of their tight-fisted dominance over the SPFL has the Bhoys in the bar talking.
With Brendan Rodgers’ wonderful rebuild at Parkhead seemingly knowing no bounds, the conversation amongst our punters has turned to the latest transfer line emanating out of Celtic Park.
As confirmed by their official website, the Hoops have loaned out forward Ryan Christie to league rivals Aberdeen for the rest of the campaign. While our drinkers do rate the Scotland U21 international rather highly indeed, they feel this could be a great move for him to bank some first-team games in the Granite City.
He’s made only seven appearances this term in a forward line hotly contested by the likes of Moussa Dembele, Scott Sinclair, Leigh Griffiths and Patrick Roberts, scoring just one goal. The former Inverness Caley man has found it hard to command much of a starting berth in green and white since he joined the ranks in September 2015, so this move could help him prove his worth.
Is this a good move all round? Let us know below…
