Early team news ahead of Saturday a very welcome boost for Celtic fans

There really is a great feeling of optimism amongst the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern ahead of the club’s imminent meeting with Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Indeed, having beaten Anderlecht away during the last game in the group, the Bhoys in the bar believe this is the best chance they could possibly have to topple the German giants, thanks to their recent relative slump.

So, recent injury reports have only added to the cheers amongst the punters clad in green and white. According to Herald Scotland, Brendan Rodgers has been handed a major boost at the best of times, with THREE key members of his side reportedly in contention for the trip to the Allianz Arena.

Scott Brown, Stuart Armstrong and Jozo Simunovic are all thought to have overcome niggles ahead of the visit to Bavaria, much to the delight of our resident Hoops.

None are believed to be risked for the game with Dundee, though Rodgers has revealed they will be available for selection ahead of Wednesday.

Scott and Stuart will train on Friday and, although it’ll be too early for Dundee, they’ll most definitely be ready for Bayern Munich”, he said.

“Jozo is the same. It wasn’t a tear he had. It was just a slight aggravation and he needed to strengthen it and stay here. But it has all come together and he’ll be fine for Munich.”

Landlord’s Verdict:

Are the stars all falling into place for Celtic to beat Bayern in their own backyard? The German giants are barely in their best period right now and, with some key players available, surely this is the best time for the Hoops to possibly do it.
