Family decision could sway Scottish deal with 28-year-old set for Celtic move

With Celtic enjoying such a wonderful campaign, the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern have been celebrating for months.

Though the Bhoys in the bar just can’t stop smiling about the complexion of this campaign, those whose feet are reasonably close to the ground know plans for next season must soon be put in place.

With that in mind, those punters are barely surprised to see reports emanating out of Africa. According to Own Goal NigeriaParkhead stalwart Efe Ambrose has been offered moves away from the club this summer.

Having joined Hibernian on loan in January to reunite with Neil Lennon, the 28-year-old defender proved impressive during their title tilt from the second tier of Scottish football and the club are reportedly keen on keeping him at Easter Road.

For his part, Ambrose is said to be leaning towards staying with the Hibees, for the sake of his family.

The Nigeria international is out of contract in just a few weeks time and French side Nice are thought to have considered bringing him to the south of France. Meanwhile, Premier League new boys Brighton and Hove Albion are understood to have been offered him as they plot for life amongst the elite.

While proving slightly error prone towards his final few months with Celtic, the fans in the bar remember the good times with Ambrose and hope he sorts his future out soon.
