The Transfer Tavern was packed on Saturday afternoon as Rangers hosted Celtic in the first Old Firm of the campaign.
Indeed, the Bhoys in our bar were in a jubilant mood following yet another win over their biggest rivals during a typically fiery meeting at Ibrox. Now, even more explosive claims have emerged after Celtic’s 0-2 win over Rangers, this time from the Glasgow Evening Times.
They’ve revealed that Light Blues boss Pedro Caixinha clashed with Hoops coach John Kennedy in the tunnel at half-time in a furious square up between the two. The argument is believed to have stemmed from the one between Caixinha and Scott Brown after a supposed elbow on Alfredo Morelos from the latter, carrying on into the tunnel.
The two are said to have been separated as tempers flared in Glasgow on Saturday afternoon, with Rangers yet again losing an Old Firm. As you can imagine, the mood amongst our resident Gers is fairly low right now, and it seems the pressure is getting all too much for those behind the scenes too.
Caixinha is barely covering himself in glory right now. His record in big games since taking over Rangers leaves a hell of a lot to be desired and his behaviour wasn’t befitting of a Gers boss in an Old Firm.
