Celtic’s dominance over the Scottish Premiership seemingly knows no bounds as the Hoops in the Transfer Tavern hope and pray Brendan Rodgers can lead the club to a stunning treble this term.
The Nothern Irishman’s work at Parkhead has been celebrated both often and loudly by our punters and many of the plaudits naturally centre around the form of Moussa Dembele, who is believed to have attracted the glances of European powerhouses.
While obviously, the French forward has been a revelation in green and white, there’s little doubt amongst our drinkers that a young player of such immense talent will one day depart.
However, that really isn’t the be all and end all at Parkhead. There is another.
Scott Sinclair is another to have arrived this summer and instantly have a huge effect in Glasgow. Then 27-year-old looks like the sort of player Manchester City bought back in 2012 now he’s been handed a run of first-team games and, at this stage of his career, can spend his prime at Celtic Park.
Dembele is a monstrous talent, one destined for the very top no doubt, though the notion of keeping him in the long-term is not at all realistic. Sinclair, meanwhile, is someone the club can cherish and build a team around for years to come as he looks to get himself back on track.
Having scored big games in the Champions League already, as well as against arch-rivals Rangers, the former England U21 international is already adored by the Celtic faithful. As Rodgers continues to build, he will be for years to come.
