The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t in the best of moods this week, to say the very least.
Indeed, while the Bhoys in the bar were hugely excited about a return to life in the Champions League, their 5-0 thumping at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain proved a huge source of frustration amongst our punters clad in green and white.
So, as if things couldn’t get much worse, one of the men talked about the most from that game has been linked away.
According to the Sun, Everton are keen on a move for 18-year-old defender, Anthony Ralston. The youngster hit headlines following his confrontation with Neymar, with the Brazilian refusing to shake his hand at the end of the game.
A graduate of the Hoops’ academy, the young right-back is understood to have been tracked by the Toffees for a few months now, with Ronald Koeman rather short in that particular berth. A January move is hinted at for the talented teen and the Toffees in the Tavern aren’t sure just how Seamus Coleman will come back from his horror injury.
Having said that, they’re keen to see the club move in on a talented youngster.
Ralston is a huge talent and we’ve certainly seen just how Kieran Tierney (another Celtic graduate) has developed since being given a defined run in the first-team.
Considering the value placed on full-backs in this day and age, he’ll likely cost Koeman a pretty penny though.
