Manager reveals all on standing of Celtic attacker deal (not Dembele)

The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely delighted about their start to the campaign under Brendan Rodgers and are discussing whether or not they can go the distance unbeaten domestically.

Rodgers has changed things around at Parkhead and the Bhoys in the bar genuinely believe he’s the best thing to happen to the club since Martin O’Neill called an end to his time in Glasgow.

Things have changed so much, in fact, that Hoops stalwart Kris Commons no longer has a place under the Northern Irishman and was recently loaned out to Championship Hibernian on an emergency basis.

So reports from the Daily Mail have come as little surprise.

They’ve revealed Hibs boss Neil Lennon is keen on extending the 33-year-old’s deal past it’s current January 15th date, despite the financial barriers likely to complicate the deal.

Clubs in England are reportedly keen on the former Derby ace, though he is said to prefer to remain in Scotland.

‘I’d like to keep him a lot longer, but that’s between the two clubs and what Kris’ thoughts are as well,’ said Lennon.
