There’s so much optimism around the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern, who watched their side go unbeaten in domestic competition last year.
Indeed, few would blame the Bhoys in the bar for truly feeling invincible, though reports from Sky Sports today have knocked those clad in green and white down a few pegs.
Kaveh Solhekol has revealed the Hoops have held talks with Marseille over the potential sale of star forward Moussa Dembele. The Frenchman proved a revelation last term after joining from Fulham, notching 32 goals in all competitions.

The 21-year-old would reportedly cost around £2om if he is to leave Glasgow, proving excellent business for the Scottish champions on a free. Still, as much money as they’d make from the deal, it’s not proved an overly popular notion.
A wonderfully talented centre-forward, the French powerhouse would be a huge loss to Brendan Rodgers, with many of our drinkers hoping to see him spearhead what is hopefully a longer European adventure next term.
While Celtic would be able to invest that money into a new team, the idea of losing one of the most talented young forwards in Europe has proved a worrying one in the Tavern this evening.
